The Global Institute was created to identify, research, and promote innovative and promising practices in special education and empowerment for persons with disabilities. It also strives to erase practices and beliefs that deny persons with disabilities full access and participation in education, employment and community life.
Dr. Bursztyn hold degrees in Counseling Psychology (Columbia University), School Psychology and Science Education (Brooklyn College), Educational Leadership (NYU) and Geology (Brooklyn College). He has worked as a teacher, school psychologist and administrator in the NYC public schools. Since 1991 he has taught graduate special education and school psychology at BrooklynCollege where he holds the rank of professor.
