Creating Learner Centered Environments with Inclusive Technologies, A presentation created for the Nassau Association of School Technologists (NASTECH) by Joseph Dixon, MAT: The linked discussion focused on how to combine “Inclusive Technologies” with learning techniques that are responsive to the diverse needs and strengths of students in many of today’s inclusion classrooms. The presentation specifically examined, “Inclusive Technologies” which for Abilities! and the Henry Viscardi School, represents a combination of assistive and instructional technologies that are able to create and leverage the power and malleability of digital content (documents, lessons, curricula, etc) for students with and without disabilities.
